How it works

Tap Sign in to Goodreads
You’ll find it when you set up your account, and any time after in Settings, under Import library.

Sign in on Goodreads
You sign in on Goodreads’ own page. Stacked then asks Goodreads for your library export, the same file you get from My Books.

Your books come over
Stacked brings them in while you carry on, matched to the right edition. Goodreads can take a few minutes to prepare a big library.

Export your library on Goodreads (My Books, then Import and export, then Export library) and pick the file in Stacked. The same books come over.
What comes over
Stacked reads your whole Goodreads export, so your library arrives the way you left it.

Questions
What comes over from Goodreads?
Your books from every shelf, your own shelves included, with your star ratings, reviews, the dates you finished them and when you added them. Books on a DNF shelf are marked as did not finish.
Does it change anything on Goodreads?
No. Stacked asks Goodreads for the same export file you can download yourself and copies your books from it. Your books, ratings and reviews on Goodreads stay as they are.
Can I keep using Goodreads too?
Yes. If you keep logging books there for a while, sign in again from Stacked and anything new comes over. Books already on your Stacked shelf stay as they are.
Is Stacked free?
Yes. Stacked is free, and the beta is open to anyone with an iPhone through TestFlight.
Does it work with books in other languages?
Yes. Stacked matches each book by its ISBN to the edition you shelved, so a translation or local edition stays that edition. Books without an ISBN are looked up by title and author.
What happens to my data?
You sign in on Goodreads’ own page, so Stacked never sees your Goodreads password. Your library is stored in the EU and isn’t sold to anyone, and you can delete your account any time in Settings.
